About MPR

Maximum Performance Running

Maximum Performance Running was established in 2010 by Coach Mark Hadley after over a decade of coaching informally and lifetime as a runner.  Maximum Performance Running is operated out of the Coos Bay, OR (the birthplace of Steve Prefontaine) but serves runners accross the world.

MPR was founded for and operates with one important purpose: Stewardship

"To me coaching is all about stewardship, using the knowledge and experience I have gained over 40 years as a runner, and 10 years as a coach, to help others safely and successfully pursue their running goals."
- Coach Mark Hadley

Head Coach Mark Hadley

Mark has had a life long passion for the sport of running, starting as a kid in the mountains of North Carolina running in road races and track and cross country meets, continuing on through college where he ran track and cross country for the University of Mississippi, to post collegiately and the world of road and trail races. A student of the sport with a passion for understanding and studying all aspects of running, Mark turned his attention from competitor to coach over a decade ago and started Maximum Performance Running in 2010 to help other runners chase and achieve their running goals.
